« Return To Planning Tips Page « Put Your Best Face ForwardHow to Ensure a Clear Complexion for your Wedding DayThe experts all agree that the two keys to great skin are eight hours of sleep and eight glasses of water a day. The hectic life of a bride-to-be may make this seem like an impossible ideal but try and make it work for you. Schedule enough time for yourself and don’t let the stress get the better of you and your skin. Start thinking about improving your skin from the day he proposes. Get into the habit of regularly receiving facials and continue this up until a week before your wedding. Cleanse, tone and moisturize your face twice a day and never, never sleep with your makeup on. A slightly modified diet may also help prevent breakouts. Try adding more colourful fruits and vegetables, essential fats, nuts and seeds and fibre to your diet. At the same time try to cut down on alcohol, caffeine, dairy, fried food and red meat. It may seem like an extreme change but a blemish free wedding day is worth it. If breakouts do occur use acne-fighting creams containing salicylic acid or benzyl peroxide. See a dermatologist if you have a history of stress induced breakouts but most importantly calm down and enjoy the wedding planning process. -Eva Jurczyk « Return To Planning Tips Page « |
